The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) has released a list of members in their Missouri and New Orleans Provinces credibly accused of having abused a minor. The list includes two men that served at St. Stephen’s Mission. Paul C. Pilgram, SJ was assigned at St. Stephen’s Mission 1964-1966. He was restricted from ministry with minors in 1991 and removed from ministry in 2003. He currently lives under supervision. Anthony J. short , SJ was assigned at St. Stephen’s Mission (1974-1977) and 1981-1986). He was removed from ministry in 2008. He currently lives in a skilled nursing facility under supervision. One should contact local law enforcement or Department of Family Services if abuse of a minor is suspected.
